St. Louis Piano Teacher

Concerts International Vocal and Acting Studio is excited to announce a new addition to our staff: Tayla Perry, piano teacher and singing coach extraordinaire.

Tayla’s extensive musical and performance background has helped shape her to become one of the premier St. Louis piano teachers, who also offers superb singing coaching in the area.

Talya Renee’ Perry holds a B.S. in Voice Performance from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff and M.M. degree in Voice Performance from Webster University. Talya has appeared in many musicals, operas and plays throughout the St. Louis area:

At Webster’s Opera Studio program, Talya performed as:

• Mother Marie in Dialogue of the Carmelites
• Fidalma in The Secret Marriage
• Edith in The Pirates of Penzance
• Marcellina in The Marriage of Figaro

Talya has appeared at the Muny in:

• The Sound of Music as part of the Trio of the Saengerbund of Herwegen
• Showboat

Talya has also performed in a number of musical theatre productions with several community theatre groups in the St. Louis area. Some of her favorite roles include Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, Sr. Mary Hubert in Nunsense, Alice in Big River, Alice in The Secret Garden, and Mrs. Enysford Hill in My Fair Lady, to name a few.

Other notable experiences include performances in the:

• Ensemble of Lyrico Light Opera of St. Louis
• The Union Ave Opera
• The Lafayette Arts Opera Promenade (as a soloist)
• The University City Orchestra and Manchester United Methodist Church joint concert (as a guest artist)

Talya currently teaches Voice and Piano with the St. Louis Community College District and is very excited to join the staff at Concerts International. She has received two Arts for Life nominations for her work in community theatre.
